Occupations

While bringing up her granddaughter (also called Flavella!) Flavella made a little money making bead-covered watch-pockets and pin-cushions. Little Flavella helped with this work. (ES)
At about the same time, Flavella had students living-in from the nearby university. One such student was so impressed with the way that little Flavella helped around the house that he gave her little lessons after breakfast for her to study during the day (ES)
