| Elizabeth and Mary had a haberdashery, millinery and dressmaking business in Edgbaston together with a Cornelius PUDDICOMBE (possibly a brother) which failed in February 1831 |

| Elizabeth and Mary moved on to running guest houses in the Birmingham area, and were known as the "Misses PUDDICOMBE". They moved from 3 Colmore Row to No 1 Upper Temple Street in 1839 and on to one called Clarendon House by 1843. |
