At the 1901 census, Robert was a boarder with
another general labourer - Thomas PICKETT, a widower aged 47 |
| |
|
| Also at the 1901 census, we find Mary Ann MELHAM, a nine-year-old neice of Thomas PICKETT. Mary later married John TAYLOR. They continued to live at Weetman Street and had issue, including a boy born in 1916. They must have developed a close relationship with the lodger, because when the young family moved to 72 Merriman Road near Shooters Hill in the 1930s, Robert TRIGG moved with them. (DT) |
